I am taking this opportunity to inform our clientele that Courtney Mitchell Photography is taking the COVID-19 outbreak very seriously, and is taking every possible step to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone we are in contact with.

Today, I have been carefully reviewing the available information from the Centers for Disease Control on minimizing the spread of COVID-19.  As a boutique portrait studio located in Downtown Sherman, Texas, the number of clients coming into the studio on a daily basis is small and the interaction personalized.  This sets the stage for Courtney Mitchell Photography to ensure safety protocols are followed thoroughly to minimize any risk to ourselves or our clients. Since I am the sole owner/photographer, I believe that I am able to continue to serve clients safely until directed otherwise by local, state or federal directives.

• I have spent today deep cleaning the entire studio from top to bottom as a preventative measure.  
• I am decreasing the number of sessions I will be booking in a day and week even further to allow time to thoroughly clean surfaces and equipment in the studio between clients.
• If you have been around family or friends who have been sick with symptoms of COVID-19 in the last two weeks, we ask that you reschedule your appointment.
• If you have traveled abroad or to any highly affected COVID-19 area within the last 14 days, we ask that you reschedule your appointment.

As with any threat to my client's safety, I am taking COVID-19 just as seriously.  I would never ask my client to pose on a railway track because its dangerous and illegal. Similarly, I will not willingly expose my client to illness or put them in a situation where they could be exposed. I will ask my clients to also do the same in order to minimize the spread of the virus and to help our communities move through this time together quickly and safely. 

I have built the foundation of Courtney Mitchell Photography upon the custom portrait sessions, unparalleled service, attention to detail and professionalism to every client who comes in the door. As a studio who specializes in newborn, children, high school seniors, families and professionals,  I recognize the value of keeping our loved ones safe. I look forward to helping our community work through this outbreak, and I look forward to serving you this spring.
